The Synthesis of Superparamagnetic Barium Hexaferrite Particles
The superparamagnetic particles of Ba-hexaferrite were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis.The precursor and hydroxide OH concentration was optimized and the synthesis temperature and time were crastically decreased. The post nucleation particle growth was strongly decreased. The super paramagnetic particles have a disc-like shape with an average particle size of 8 nm and were 3 nm thick. The particles have a com temperature saturation magnetization of 9 emu/g.
