Microwave-induced ClO2/Mn(Ⅱ)system catalytic oxidation of phenol in water

Experiments were conducted to investigate the technology and mechanism of homogenous C1O2/Mn(II)system catalytic Oxidation of phenol-containing wastewater under microwave irradiation. The relationships between removal percentage and catalyst dosage, microwave power, contact time and pH were irregular. The research suggested that the optimum conditions for phenol removal percentage approaching 90.39%were as follows:the oxidant dosage was 80mg/L,the contact time was 5min,microwave power was 50W and the solution pH was in the range of 3~10.Under the same experimental conditions, the COD removal percentage cloud come up to 79.13%.Comparing with traditional process,we can conclude that rmcrowave in this process not only is a heating source but also induce the non-thermal efficiency.
