Decolorization of C.I.basic Violet 3 with hydrogen peroxide in an electrochemical reactor
The effect of pH.electrical current,hydrogen peroxide concentration and ferric ion on the decolorization of C.I.Basic Violet 3 was investigated.The results showed that higher decolorization efficiency was achieved in basic condition than in acid condition.The decolorization efficiency increased with the increasing hydrogen peroxide concentration and electrical current.However,further increase of electrical current would not improve color removal significantly when it reached 2A.The presence of ferric ion would enhance decolorization efficiency.
