Dynamic analysis of the polyferric-organic dual-coagulant in treating dyeing wastewater
In this study,a novel composite inorganic-organic coagulant PFC-PDADMAC)was prepared by polyferric chloride(PFC)and polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride(PDADMAC).The flocculation kinetics of PFC-PDADMAC and sequential addition of PFC and PDADMAC in treating reactive and disperse dyeing wastewater were comparatively investigated using photometric dispersion analyzer(PDA).including floc growth rate, the floc size and floc size difierence during the steady-state phase. The color removaI efficiencies of them were also comparatively examined. Results indicated that the dual-coagulants achieved higher color removaI than PFC and PDADMAC.PFC-PDADMAC showed a stronger sweep and bridging ability and thus more effecfive coagulation efficiency, larger floc size and higher floc growth rate for Reacfive Yellow K-4G removal. For the Disperse Yellow RGFL removal.different dual-coagulants gave similar floc aggregation process, mechanism and thus color removal efficiency.
