Study on the synthesis and structure of PVC-BA by suspension swelling in situ polymerization
BA polymerized by swelling in the pores of PVC particles. The changes of particles structure inporosity, grain size and distribution, particle morphology were investigated by DOP absorption ratio measurements, laser particle analyzer, SEM and TEM. IR spectrum showed that BA was grafted on PVC and some of PVC-g-BA was soluble in THF. TEM confirmed that BA swelled in the pores of particle and in situ polymerized with PVC.
