Vulcanization and Thermalstability Research of Fluoroelastomer/modified EPDM Reaction Blends

Enhancing the low-temperature resistance of fluoroelastomer(FPM) without doing damage to its specific characteristics is important for fluoroelastomer blending modification,though papers for this aspect have not be found until now. Ethylene propylene diene rubber is one materials that excels in low temperature flexibility, high temperature stability; weatherability; electrical performance;chemical, oxidation, ozone and aging resistance.Materials with better overall properties maybe prepared by blending ethylene propylene diene rubber into fluoroelastomer. But high incompatibility and non co-vulcanization made the blending of fluoroelastomer with EPDM difficult.
