Synthesis and Properties of the organosilicon modified acrylic resin/MgAl layered double hydroxide nanocomposites
A novel organosilicon modified acrylic resin / MgAl layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanocomposites was synthesized by seed emulsion polymerization reaction ,consisting of acrylate, organosilicon with vinyl group, and the modified nano-LDH. The samples prepared were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), physics and flame-retardancy capabilities testing.the MgAILDH particles of 70nm were well dispersed at molecular level in the polymer matrix..The composition have excellent flame-retardancy(LOI is 25.6), strengthening and toughing with general capability remarkably improved.
