Svnthesis and Kinetic Behavior of Stereotriblock Polybutadiene HTBR-LCBR-HTBR
For the purpose of saving energy, new type of tread rubber should be developed in automobile industry. It is traditionally believed that high-trans 1,4-configuration(60%-80%)diene polymers possess excellent dynamic properties, including antifatigue, low rolling resistance, low heat buildup, good green strength, and low abrasion loss, which are necessary for high performance tire stock.1-2 The synthesis of high trans-l,4-polybutadiene(HTBR) has started for a long time based on nickel3, chrome4, vanadium5, titanium and supported titanium6 catalyst systems respectively, but various synthetic methods exist different disadvantage for actual production. While, the synthesis of HTBR by anionic polymerization develops deeply and widely recently because of its evident advantages7. Moreover,1,3-phenylenebis3-methyl-l-(methylphenyl)pentylidenedilithium(Dli) which is soluble in cyclohaxane without ether was synthesized and applied in preparing block copolymers by Tung et al.8 In this article, HTBR was prepared with barium thymol(BAT)-triisobutyl aluminium AI(I-Bu)3 -Dli complex initiation system(Ba/Al/Dli) and also the kinetic behavior was studied for the first time. Moreover, a novel polymerstereo-triblock polybutadiene HTBR-LCBR-HTBR was obtained subsequently.
