Preparation of PA6-TiO2 Composite Microspheres by Melt Blending

Polymeric microspheres containing functional nanoparticles have been receiving various applications such ascarrier for immobilization of enzymes, toner for e-ink, coating for microwave absorption and cosmetics, etc 1.Generally, the organic-inorganic composite microspheres are prepared by in situ polymerization 2-6, including suspension polymerization, dispersion polymerization, emulsion polymerization, as well as recently developed mini-emulsion polymerization and soap-free polymerization. Apart from the complicated procedure and take-time, these approaches are limited to change the polymer matrix, increase the content of nanoparticles and design a suitable disnersant.
