Structure Development in Crystallization and Crystallization Behavior of Ethylene-Isoprene Block Copolymers and Their Blends with Corresponding Homopolymers

Structural change in crystallization and crystallization behavior of block copolymers have attractedincreasing interest in recent years. Structure development in semicrystalline block copolymers is controlled bytwo competing mechanisms: microphase separation and crystallization, i.e., the structure of block copolymersdepends on the kinetics as well as the segregation strength of phase separation. In this article, the structure formation in isothermal crystallization from ordered and disordered meltswill be presented for polyethylene-polyisoprene (EL) diblock copolymers and their blends (EL/PIp and EI/PE).Kinetic characteristics of crystallization will also be discussed.
