Preparation and properties of one epoxy system bearing fluorene moieties

Epoxy resins have gained wide acceptances in advanced composites matrices, surface coating andsemiconductor encapsulation applications due to their heat, solvent and chemical resistance, good mechanicaland electrical properties and great adherence to many substrates. In high-tech applications, however, epoxyresins with better heat and moisture resistance were required. For this reason, modifications of epoxy resins orcuring agents, in both backbone and pendant groups have been continuously attempted in order to improve thethermal and physical properties of cured polymers. 1-4
