RFID-based Ubiquitous Learning Environment for School Students

In recent years, with the advancements in mobile, wireless and radio frequency identification (RFID)technologies, invisible computers are embedded inone s life and working environment, and also with the growing of home internet appliances and wide use ofRFID tags, it will be possible to realize the intelligence exchange with surrounding matters. When thesetechnologies are used in educational settings, newlearning opportunities arise, but new issues alsoemerge, and one of the issues is how learning can bemanaged across contexts such as home and school Inthis paper we propose a Ubiquitous LearningEnvironment with Educational Resources (ULEER)based on ubiquitous computing, RFID and the lnternetto assist school students to improve their learningeffect. With using the ULEER, students can learn atany time, any where. And the ULEER also providessuitable learning support to help the students focus onthe learning behaviors by collecting the data regardingtheir behaviors. Also, we present a validation scenarioapplication, which includes a series of learningactivities.
