Dust Spatial Distribution in Loose-rearing Pullets House
Excessive dust concentration in chicken house is hazardous for worker health and poultry productivity, and also harmful to the environment. Understanding dust spatial distribution is helpful to analyze the emission and transmission of dust, and helpful to develop more effective dust control method. A multi-point sampler was used to measure the dust distribution and emission within a loose-rearing pullets house. The sampling points were evenly distributed in a transverse section ten meters near the fans. Temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity and CO2 concentration were also recorded. Results showed that animal activity was the main factor affects dust spatial distribution in daytime. Wind velocity of every sampling point didnt have a significant correlation with the dust concentration of every sampling point.
