Discussion on Development Predicament and Mode Selection of Agricultural Insurance in China
As a risk shift mechanism, agricultural insurance plays a very important role in diversifying agricultural risk. For conflict between supply and demand of insurance, sufficient government support and absence of operating subject, agricultural insurance is greatly restricted in China. To promote development of agricultural production, the new agricultural insurance mode that is mainly dominated by government, has a multi-level system and multi-channel support shall be structured, and the policy agricultural insurance company, commercial insurance company, agricultural mutual insurance company and foreign-funded insurance company shall cooperate to resist agricultural risk jointly.
