Photosynthetic Light-response Model of Cucumber in Greenhouse

Net photosynthetic rates (pn) of cucumber leaf under different irradiance measued by Li-6400 Portable Photosynthesis System indicated that the light-response curve of photosynthesis was nonlinear in irradiances from 0 to 2000 umolm-2s-1. A new light-response model of photosynthesis,named fraction model (FM), was established according to the measured data. The results of both confirmation and testing are all satisfactory. Among FM, non-rectangular model (NRH) and quadratic multinomial model (QMM), FM was the best of the maximal photosynthesis rate (Pn max),light-compensation point (LCP) and dark respiration rate (DRR) compared with the measured data.Using this model the nonlinear character of cucumber leaf was made clear.
