Preliminary Discussion on Application of Radon Technique to Probe Fire Location in Shallow Seam
Abnormal peaks existed in the Radon-measuring curves where theme were no fire resource in the process of probing fire location by radon technique in shallow seam; by contraries, there were no abnormal peaks where fire location existed obviously. These phenomena are called false abnormalities. The aftereffect due to false abnormalities is that it would lead to be fault diagnosis. The reason of false abnormalities, caused by the radon technique in shallow seam, was discussed. The actual fire location has been found by combining radon technique with data from geo-temperature observation boreholes. This paper is of guiding and referential significance to probe fire location by radon technique in shallow seam in the future.
