Residual Loss and Imaginary Permeability of MnZn Ferrite
A low-loss MnZn ferrite, operated in the frequency range from 1 to 3 MHz between 25-120℃, has been prepared by a solid-state reaction method. The core losses (PL) were divided into hysteresis loss (Ph), eddy current loss (Pe) and residual loss (Pr). The temperature characteristics of residual loss contribution and imaginary permability were discussed. As the temperature increased, the imaginary permeability of MnZn ferrite at MHz was significantly enhanced and the resonance frequency (fir) decreased. The increase in residual loss (Pr) with rising temperature should be attributed to the decreasingfr, viz. it was due to the resonance in the domain wall, which was caused by high speed rotation of spin inside the domain.
