The Application of Variable Fuzzy Evaluation Method in Water Quality Evaluation

Based on the theory of variable fuzzy set, variable fuzzy evaluation model for water quality was established, and the water quality evaluation was converted from the qualitative evaluation to a quantitative one. The results indicate that the method was available and simple through the comparison between the results of the method and those of artificial neural network model. Through the comparison of the results after weight variation, the paper also showed that variable fuzzy evaluation method was affected little by artificial disturbance and its results are more reasonable and objective. Baiyangdian water quality was evaluated applying 2 sets of weight and 4 models to. The evaluation results showed that the pollution of Baiyangdian was severe and the water quality was needed improvement urgently.
