Wavelet Analysis of Main Flood Season Precipitation Time Series in Area of Well-Irrigation in Sanjiang Plain

The rapid increase of paddy field area has led to widely descending of groundwater level in area of well irrigation paddy in Sanjiang Plain recent years. Therefore, the groundwater resource balance in Sanjiang Plain need to be recharged urgently. For fully utilizing natural precipitation and accelerating groundwater resource recharge, the authors took Farm 853 as example, analyzed the multi-time scales variation characteristics and jump characteristics of the main flood season precipitation time series in Farm 853 through using the wavelet theory. The analysis results showed that the main flood season precipitation series of Farm 853 had four main periods: 3, 6, 29 and 13 years around. The authors consider that the study can provide scientific gist for groundwater resource sustainable utilization in Farm 853 so much as the entire Sanjiang Plain.
