Study on Farmland Change Trends in the Fast Urbanization Area of China—A case study of Guangzhou
Because the regional economy of Guangzhou has had in a high-speed development state and the urban scale enlarges,so the farmland quantities have decreased continually.This paper first discussed the definition of urban growth,then there are three responses happened to the farmland change under the urban development including the fast urbanization procedure,the high occupation proportion of farmland for no-agricultural purpose and an increase in local economy bring on the loss of farmland.Last the prediction about the farmland quantity and the indicator of farmland possession per person had been studied using regression analysis,index assessment and grey model.The results showed that the farmland would be reduction gradually accompanied by economic growth.
