Research on the Quantity-based Delivery Policy in VMI

摘要：

Under the VMI (Vendor managed inventory ) mode,the delivery time and quantity are both dominated by the vendor.Under a quantity-based policy,delivery time is a random variable whereas delivery quantity assumes scale economies.The model based on quantity-based delivery policy was established.The optimal delivery occurrences,delivery quantity,target inventory level and long-run expected average cost were concluded when the stock replenishment,stock holding,delivery and customer waiting costs are minimized under the Poisson distribution of the demand.Parameters sensitive analyses were showed by numerical examples.
