The Determinants and Implements of Transactional Approach for Corporate Political Strategy

In current competition,political strategy is becoming an important component of corporate strategy.Transactional approach of corporate political strategy is one of two approaches advanced by Hillman & Hitt(1999).For different companies,the resource they can employ,corporate size and age,diversification level,management orientation,are various.Therefore,die manner of dealing with government affairs of enterprises can be discrepant,even if they face the same political environment.So facing different level of political pressure,companies will establish adaptive political strategy and put it into practice then.Based On Hillman & Hitt(1999)s work,this article will probe into the characters of transactional approach for corporate political strategy.We suggested that the anticipation to environmental uncertainty and competitors behaviors,corporate size and resource,and top management orientation are all essential determinants to transitional approach for corporate political strategy.Furthermore,it will be a critical means in practical applications to adopt close attention of political issue management.
