Empirical Research on How Industry Cluster Fosters Regional Economy in Jilin Province
As Klugman emphasizes,the industrial cluster is historically and spatially ubiquitous.Former research show that agglomeration externalities arising from industrial clusters,e.g.,information spillovers,the development of the division and specialization of labor among enterprises,and the development of skilled labor markets,play critical roles in industrial development,improve the regional economy as a result.Although an increasing number of clusters have been formed since the early 1990s in China,few researches give enough attention to the relationship between the industrial cluster and regional economy.The paper,firstly,analyzed the way by which industrial cluster has influence on the regional economy from three views.Then mechanism of effects of industrial cluster on regional economy is analyzed,and formed theoretical model.Lastly,the paper,using multi-regression method,testified the theoretical model and gave the conclusion.
