Regional Multiple Ports Price and Service Time Decisions under Different Cooperation and Competition Conditions
To analyze regional multiple ports price and service time decisions under different cooperation and competition conditions, based on port service price, service time and interactions among ports, this paper presents port demand function. Then the port service capacity is considered to propose port cooperation and competition analysis model. At last, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. It can be shown that, the price ( service time) of each port chosen under Bertrand competition is always lower(short) than those chosen under Stackelberg competition, and the price( service time) of each port chosen under Stackelberg competition is always lower(short) than those chosen under cooperation. The total profit under port cooperation is larger than that under port Stackelberg competition, and total profit under port Stackelberg competition is larger than that under port Bertrand competition. When port compete with a Stackelberg leader, the dominant port can charge a larger price and provide a longer service time to achieve the larger profit than any other ports.
