EXPLORATION ON APPLYING CONTAINER E-TAG IN INTERNATIONAL PILOT
Applying Container E-tag in international pilots has a significant meaning for improving the overall efficiency of container logistics, protecting the port security and promoting the cooperation in the internationalanti-terrorism struggle. Combined with the operation conditions of the first E-tag international pilot, Shanghai-Savannah, this paper designed two processes ofPort to Port and CFS to CFS on the basis of analyzing system nodes according to the container logistics process, and then made a general introduction for the system framework, analyzed and summarized the technical difficulties of the system hardware development, and explained thethree stages of system testing. Finally, this paper put forward the authors opinions against the application prospectof container RFID system from the view of standard, function, cost and business model. This paper can be used todemonstrate and guide the promotion and application of container E-tag in the international pilots.
