PRIMARY STUDY ON CIRCULAR LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT OF THE IRON AND STEEL INDUSTRY

The circular logistics system is a circular development model which promotes fulfillment oflow-mining,high using, low exhaust in the whole economy system. Under the circumstances of development circular economyadvocated by the country, the iron and steel industry which is one of industries of high energy and resource consumption must develop circular logistics. Under the aforementioned macro-economic background, this paper introducesthe conception and its origin of circular logistics, briefly analyses current logistics situations and operation mode ofiron and steel industry in China. At the same time, following the theory of sustainable development and 3R principles,the text describes the importance of circular logistics development from external and internal environments, and explores primarily how to develop circular logistics in steel industry. The research shows that the development of circular logistics is the only way that makes steel industry to achieve sustainable development.
