Low Viscosity PMR-Type Polyimide arid Its Composite
Polyimide matrix composites have been widely used in aeronautic and aerospace applications due to their excellent thermal and mechanical properties. In our previous study, one polyimide with high glass transition was prepared with carbonyl groups incorporated into the polymer backbone of a second generation PMR polyimide. In order to improve the processability of this polyimide, the polyimide was modified by incorporation of m-phenylenediamine into the polyimide backbone and decreasing calculated molecular weight to 1500 g/mol.
