AMPHIPHILIC TRIBLOCK COPLOYMER CARRYING HYPERBRANCHED POLYCARBOSILANE AND β-CYCLODEXTRIN AS PENDENT GROUPS:SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION

IntroductionA novel amphiphilic triblock copolymer carrying hyperbranched polycarbosilane and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD)as pendent groups, containing two kinds of cavities for a possible application in the complex drugs delivery system, was designed and synthesized via reversible addition-fragmentation transfer (RAFT) polymerization, acyl reaction, hydrosilylation reaction and immobilization reaction of iodide substituted β-CD (mono-6-I-β-CD).It was known that one kind of cavities in this polymer is from cyclodextrins inherent hydrophobic internal hole and the other is from hyperbranched polymers unique molecular structure. With this distinct character, the drugs with different therapeutic effects can be included into the polymer according to the drugs molecular structure and the different polymer/drugs interactions.
