Crystal Form Modification and Void Formation of Polypropylene during Stretching
IntroductionIsotactic polypropylene (i-PP) is a widely used semi-crystalline polymer.The crystal structure and morphology can be modified with nucleating agent.β form crystal has the properties of void formation during stretching, which is of widely used in microporous film, high impact components etc.. The use of β nucleating agent is the most common way to form high beta form crystal.In this paper, high β content precursor sheet is prepared and high porosity mieroporous film is obtained during stretching.The relationship between the crystal structure and morphology and porosity of microporous film is discussed in detail and the industrial scale production is also introduced.
