Novel copolymers for high performance organic field-effect transistors

Intensive investigations have been devoted to semicoducting polymers used in organic electronics.The polymer semiconductors offer an advantage over other materials in large area and low cost electronic applications, which can be printed by solution deposition techniques. Among them,conjugated thiophene polymers (PTs) are one sort of the most promising and the most studied solution-processable materials. However, one drawback of fully conjugated thiophene polymers,especially for regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene), is that the electrical performance under ambient atmosphere is poorer compared with the performance in vacuum or under inert atmosphere.
