Contact Fatigue Life Analysis of Rotary Kiln Roller
Aiming at disclosure the relation between the axis line deflection and contact fatigue life of rotary kiln miler, miler-wheel contact modal is analyzed with different load ratio defined by horizontal divide vertical load with finite element software ANSYS; whose resultant stress curve of extarior surface roller is considered as contact fatigue driving stress, then contact fatigue life model of roller is established with Local Stress and Strain method. Contact fatigue life of one miler with different load ratio is calculated, as well as in the procedure its fatigue damages of every cycle stress-strain value with rainflow counting are provided. Some useful conclusions are drawn that contact peak stresses are principally accounted for fatigue failure and the axis line deflection seriously influence its life. The study is important to prevent roller failure, as well as useful for design & manufacture, and it will provide basis for adjusting and optimizing control of rotary kiln.
