Effects of Concrete Fatigue Damage on Safety of Engineering Structure
Interracial fatigue is one of the main modes for damage of engineering structure. And concrete fatigue affects the extent of interracial fatigue. Based on the shear-lag model and by the aid of Paris formula, the relationship between the interracial fatigue crack growth rate and the number of cyclic loading, as well as the relationship between the interracial coefficient of friction and the number of cyclic loading are established in the debonded region. Considered the degradation of the concrete properties under the fatigue loading, the interracial fatigue properties of reinforeed concrete under tension-tension cyclic loading are investigated. The effects of concrete fatigue on interracial fatigue are analyzed, and some available results of interracial fatigue are obtained under the degradation of concrete modulus. That is, the degradation of concrete consumes part energy, and it will make the interracial debonding rate lower, which is positive effect to some extent. It provides scientific base for engineering safety evaluation of RC structure.
