Influence of Confining Pressure Unloading Rate on Granite Mechanical Properties

摘要：

The rock damage caused by confining pressure unloading rate is investigated, which is focused on the influences of the confining pressure unloading rate on the rock strength and damage. The granite unloading tests were conducted under different confining pressure conditions. The experiment results show that the higher the confining pressure unloading rate is, the lower the rock damage corresponded confining pressure value is; under the same condition, the higher the confining pressure unloading rate is, the lighter the rock damage is; the confining pressure unloading rate has influence on rock destruction patterns.
