Effect of Tetrahydrofuran on Thermodynamic Conditions of Low-concentration Mine Gas Hydration Separation
The improvement of thermodynamic conditions is key to the application of the new method of separating low-concentration mine gas based on hydration mechanism, it is necessary to investigate the influential law of Tetrahydrofuran(THF), known as a type of thermodynamic accelerant. The thermodynamic parameters of low-concentration mine gas hydration separation were measured in three kinds of THF solutions with the concentrations of 1 mol·L-1, 0.1 mol·L-1 and 0.01 mol·L-1 by using the visual separation equipment. The separation concentrations of CH4 were analyzed with the gas chromatography. The experimental results were compared with the analytical results calculated with the phase equilibrium model presented by Chen-Guo. The conclusions are that: the addition of THF effectively improves the thermodynamic conditions of the gas hydrate formation; the higher the concentration of THF solution is, the more notable its acceleration is, which results in the more agreeable separation effect of the low-concentration mine gas hydration separation. The obtained conclusions promote the mine gas separation technology based on gas hydration and provide the basis for low-concentration mine gas separation theories.
