Study on Drainage Technology by lO00m Long Roof Boreholes in Strike of High Methane Coal Seam Group
The methane and geology conditions are very complicated and the distance among high gas coal seam. group is short in Shaqu Colliery. In order to solve the difficulties of gas concentration exceeding safety limit at the upper comer and air return of a fully mechanized face, the pouring characteristics at fully mechanized face No.14205 in Shaqu colliery is analyzed in this paper. Ronf stratum movement and fractures above the gob are studied, and then the reasonable layout locations of IO00m long drainage boreholes are decided by use of the numerical simulation method. The practical measurement results showed that the gas control effect of drainage technology by use of long roof boreholes with large diameter and in the coal seam strike was apparent, and a great amount of gas with high concentration was drawn out, and coal and gas were mined safely and efficiently.
