NOVAL SUPERCRITICAL FLUIDS ASSISTED POLYMER PROCESSING

The increasing use of polymer nanocomposites in industries is based on the excellent mechanical properties of polymer nanocomposites even with lower filler loadings. The mechanical properties of the PP/clay nanocomposites are significantly determined by the dispersion and exfoliation of the nanoparticles in the nanocomposites, which is greatly affected by the coupling agent, the characteristic properties of the PP, and the processing conditions. The better the clay dispersion and exfoliation in polymer/clay nanocomposites, the higher the mechanical properties of final nanocomposites are.
