Development of Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers in Russia
Development of fuel cells and electrolyzers in Russia are mainly carried out in the frame of Federal target program coordinated by Federal Agency on Science and Innovations (Roananka). At present time PEM electrolyzers for production of high purity hydrogen at pressure of 5MPa are developed and commercialized. Development of electrolyzers for 13MPa is carried out. Power plants based on PEM fuel cells with power 10kW for decentralized energy supply are developed and preparation for theirindustrial production is carried out. Experimental power plant based on solid oxide fuel cell with power 1.5kW was developed and tested. Different catalytic and plasmachemical converters of natural fuel are developed. Significant acceleration of development procedure and increase of the quality is obtained by application of new nanomaterials and nanotechnologies.
