Temperature Transient Calculation in the Glass-melting Crucibles
1 Introduction The most expensive component in the plant intended for production of 1-10μm thickness glass-fiber is glass-melting crucible which is being made now from platinum-rhodium alloys. The main problem of fiber formation process implies that the bottom of the crucible must be isothermic one in order to provide equal speed of the outflow of the fluid glass from each spinneret for the purpose of uniformity of threads formation.
