Highly Ordered TiO2 Nanotubes Loaded with Pt Nanoparticles

We report on the fabrication and visible spectrum phetoelectrochemical properties of Pt-loaded, serf-aligned, vertically oriented TiO2 nanotuhe arrays. The TiO2 nanotube arrays photocatalysts were prepared by anodization of Ti foil in a 0.25% (wt) NH,F, 1.0% (Vol) H2O/ethylene glycol electrolyte at 50V for 3H. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements revealed that all TiO2 nanotuhe arrays crystallized in mtile even before calcination. UV-vis spectra evaluated results show that Pt-loaded of the TiO2 increased photocatalytic activity under visible-light irradiation. Application of this Pt-loaded TiO2nanotube arrays photocatalyst shows promise in the fields of gas-phase reaction and purified water systems under visible-light irradiation.
