Research and Development of Platinum Group Metals in the Fields of High Technology
The platinum group metals, due to their excellent physicochemical properties and incomparable catalytic activity and other special performances, have played the role of Vitamin for modem industries, and are called The First and Foremost a High-Technology Metal. The present paper summarized the research and development of PGM in the fields of high technology with the emphasis on them for information technology, biomedical technology, advanced materials technology, and resource and environment technology, and so on. The achievements of research and development of PGM in Kunming Institute of Precious Metals were also introduced.
