Mold Flux Behavior for High Quality Casting Operation

摘要：

Mold flux is key technology of surface qualities of cast slab. In this paper, mold flux entrapment behavior and heat transfer phenomenon have been discussed. The effect of mold flux basicity on the decrease of spherical inclusions can be considered as an action through interracial tension or wettability between mold flux and molten steel.The effect of mild cooling by mold flux film was controlled by heat resistance of flux film.
