Water Model Study on Inclusion Removal from Liquid Metal by Bubble Flotation
Higher cleanliness in steel products is strongly demanded in various industries to realize high performance of steel materials. In order to remove inclusions from liquid steel, bubble flotation is one of a promising method among various inclusion-removal methods. In this study, water model experiments are carried out to clarify the characteristics of bubble flotation. Diameter of particle, agitation speed of water, gas flow rate, and contact angle of particle are investigated experimentally.
