Behavior of Two-Side Connected Steel Shear Wall with Slits
Steel shear wall with slits is a new kind of lateral load resistant member. For this kind of specimen, the stiffness, beating capacity, ductility, and hysteretic behavior can be adjusted easily according to the demands of engineers and architects. In this paper, the behavior of steel shear wall with slits is studied. The influence of height-to-thickness ratio of steel plate,height-to-width ratio and width-to-thickness ratio of small columns between slits is analyzed. The results show that the height-to-thickness ratio and width-to-thickness ratio of small column are the mainly effects on two-side connection steel shear wall with slits. When the height-to-thickness ratio is larger than 300,the width-to-thickness ratio is the key effect to influence the buckling behavior of steel shear wall. If the height-to-thickness ratio is less than 300,it influences the buckling mode of steel shear wall.
