Model Temperature Distribution of Concrete-Filled Steel Tubes with Rectangular Sections under One-Side Fire
A finite element analysis model was developed to predicate the temperature distribution of concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST) with rectangular sections under one-side fire using the finite element package ANSYS. The computational results were compared with some test data,and good agreement has been reached. Comparisons were therefore made between the temperature distributions of the CFST columns in two cases,i.e. heated on four sides and on single side. Parametric analysis was conducted towards the cross-sectional temperature distributions of CFST columns under one-side fire,in which cross-sectional width,depth to width ratio,steel ratio,type and thickness of fire-proof coating were taken into account. The study is expected to provide theoretical preparation for fire resistance behaviour of CFST columns under one-side fire.
