Spatial Cognition and the Basic Teaching of Architectural Design

Cognitive science research indicates that the key for people to comprehend the surrounding space is to be able to build relational spatial configurations. On this basis, this paper presents the principle of section priority as a means of teaching methods to review the traditional spatial cognition during the basic courses of architecture design, and make some attempts from the setup of teaching program to the real operation.
