An Empirical Study on Measurement Modeling of Interior Design:A Case Study of Living Rooms
This paper addresses measurement modeling in Interior Design. First, six living room design styles were selected as stimulus samples to determine the semantic attribute adjectives for the questionnaire items. Second, Exploratory Factor Analyses were used to eliminate theimproper items and we used Confirmatory Factor Analyses to investigate the factor structure of the items. Third, the research established four constructs; (Pragmatic Functions, Material Application, Spatial Aesthetic and Stylish Characteristic). Finally, this research digitized the attribute measurement modeling methodology, which hopefully can be applied to the practice of interior design and not just result in theoretical exploration.
