Characteristics of Project Financing Business with Partnership of Public-Private Sectors in the Commercial Area of a New City in Korea

As an alternative to overcome problems with the existing residential site development business, project financing (PF) business with a partnership of publicprivate sectors has been performed along with the Residential Site Development Promotion Act, which was revised in 2001. PF business with a partnership of public-private sectors is a business that publicly collects business plans, including construction plans, within a special district in the commercial area of a new city, and that is connected with selected private development consortiums. The research aims at grasping the appropriateness of PF business with a partnership of public-private sectors, which is a method to develop the commercial area of a residential site development district, by investigating the characteristics and causes in its introduction and change processes.
