A study on the Application of Renewable Energy Systems to Apartment Houses in Korea
This study aims to propose the application method of renewable energy systems to apartment houses in Korea and to suggest the process of integrating renewable energy systems into architectural elements. Case studies were conducted to apply various renewable systems to apartment houses according to the suggested process. Renewable systems were classified according to their characteristics, and optimum systems were proposed based on the specific conditions of apartment houses. Finally,energy performance of renewable energy systems applied to apartment houses were estimated using computer simulation. The study includes that the application of renewable energy systems to apartment houses in Korea is feasible in terms of energy consumption reduction
