A Study on the Cheonggyechon Restoration Project with regard to Coexisting and Regeneration in Todays global City——focused on the other face of historical restoration
Todays global cities are to be considered as a city from zero which seeks for the integration of economy, politics, and culture with history. But such global cities as Dubai and Shanghai, are unapologetic expressions of new-found economic and therefore political-prowess in the 21 century, in this sense, the study attempts to reevaluate the Cheonggechon Restoration Project, in Seoul starting from July 1, 2003 to the September 2005,in relation with its modern propensity of tabular rasa achieving coexisting and regeneration, to explore the problems of the Cheonggechon Restoration project at the grass-roots instead of describing politically decorated urban value, and then, to examine the problems from the viewpoint of the new streams integration with the neighboring context which are left unsolved. The study will arrive at the conclusion in the viewpoint of the new streams integration with the neighboring context which is left unsolved.
