A Research on ERP and APS System Integration
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is widely used by manufacturing enterprises.Meanwhile,the disadvantages of production-planning module based on MRPII are also exposed.However,APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) is a good means to solve the planning problem.In order to fully utilize both advantages of ERP and APS system,it is necessary to integrate ERP and APS system effectively.Owing to Web service has such characteristics as independent of platform,self-description and loose-coupling,we consider Web services as a good choice out of many integration solutions.This paper analyses the advantages that Web service brings after it has been applied to integrating ERP and APS.And then a framework used to describe the operation of the integration solution and the process of implement is put forward.Finally,directed by this framework,an integration case is demonstrated in this paper.
